Development Courses

All potential NCO's attend Development Courses run by our Wing Training Staff at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton. The Courses are run over a weekend and develop and asses the Leadership potential of Cadets. There are also Staff Cadet Courses run at Wing Headquarters in Coventry.

The Training Team also run Instructor Cadet Courses which as the name implies, prepare Senior Cadets for taking an active role in their Squadrons in the training and development of Junior Cadets.

Adult Uniform Staff also attend Courses to develop their skills as Instructors and these range from an Initial Course to the Senior Course, both held at the Cadet Training Centre at Royal Air Force Cranwell in Lincolnshire. Those Adult Instructors who demonstrate an interest in weapons can also attend Courses to qualify them to be Range Control Officers, thereby allowing them to run Rifle Ranges.

There are many other Courses available to both Adult Staff and Cadets, including Health and Safety, First Aid and some on aspects of the Training Syllabus itself.
